Sorry for the delayed update: For those who do not know what has gone on in my life in the past 5 months, here it is in dot points (for further info, text me on my mobile or call me as I don't often have access to the internet):
-I now work at a Recruitment Resourcer for Ready Workforce (a branch of Chandler Macleod) who have already sent me to Sydney for training. -I own a 2007 Toyota Corolla Ascent, sedan, manual, her name is Jessie. -I am living back home with mother. -Not really speaking to my father (again) due to reasons we will not go into.
Nothing much else to comment on. Hope you are all well (as I am) and are having fun in life.
Hope to speak to you all soon!!!

Merry Christmas. How I hate this 'jolly' season. I dislike my family (apart from mother, cousin Lana and occasionly father) yet I am forced to spend time and money on them. It's not that they're a horrible bunch, they're quite lovely really, I'm just not one of them and I don't belong with them. Just the way things are.
BUT. I am looking forward to New Years. Party at Deb's and everyone's invited! I'm just glad that this time I'll be here, in Adelaide, (apologies again to Alex for last new years...) and that I don't have to organise anything and I can drink and be merry and I don't have to worry about embarassing myself as I will only know about 8 people there. Yay for me!
Seriously though, I do wish you all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a SAFE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
By the way, if any of you know of any casual jobs that are going, I'd love one - I have 3 weeks off of my job and I'd like to start earning more money on weekends as well - let me know! |

Started at Jono's place for Alex's bday pre-drinks. I only knew Alex. Met many others - all 18 or 19. Didn't think I drank that much at Jono's, but conversation with boy I just met (Peter) on way to train station may prove otherwise. Nearly stacked it running in heels to catch the train.
Got to city to receive message from Ryan that they were in Exeter. I tell them to go to Casino. Then message them again to tell them we are making our way to Exeter (we being me with 5 guys that are friends of Alex's that I had only just met). Get to Exeter to find no boys. Call Ryan. Boys are on their way to Cas. They oblige to my request and meet me at Exeter. Ben, Matt and I drink. Lots. And Tracy. And Ben and Tracy's other brother (Jason) and his girlfriend (Angie - not me).
Ben, Matt, Ryan and I make way to Belgian Beer Cafe. Don't know where the other boys had gone. More drinks for Ben, Matt and I. Ryan leaves soon after 1ish. Ben, Matt and I go to Crown & Anchor to meet up with Ben's 2 brothers Jason and Mark and his sister Tracy. More drinks. Tracy and I get excited about Big Day Out and moshing to Tool.
Ben, Matt and I go to Elephant to meet up with Alex and her friends. More drinks. Tequilla. Ben and I dancing. We all leave and go to Fumo's at 2.45am. Only just enough time for a cocktail. Then onto PJ O'Brien's. No more drinks. Ben and Matt were supposed to leave to catch a 3.50am Wandering Star. I went walking with them. Matt walks ahead. Ben and I receive phone call from Matt at 4.05am to say they'd missed the bus. Whoops. Ben, Matt and I head to Casino. Ben loses money. Matt and Ben decide to crash at my mum's.
Ben and I get Matt to try to hail us a taxi on North Tce around 5am while Ben and I paid attention to other things... Matt failed his mission, so Ben and I hailed one for the 3 of us.
Get to Mum's house. Matt claims spare bed, I walk Ben out to the couch in the back room where he would be sleeping. We both fall asleep on the couch around 6am. I go to my mum's bed after not being able to sleep well at 6.20am. Mother wakes me up by saying, "You could have told me two strange boys were staying over." I tell her to read the message on her phone that I had sent her a couple of hours earlier. Wake up at 10.30am. Wash filthy feet. Matt wakes up. We go and harrass Ben in back room. I introduce mother to the two 'strange boys'. Ben, Matt and I watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I take them home at 3.30pm.
Now THAT'S what I call a good Saturday night in the city. What makes it even better - I didn't have a hangover! |

I feel old. I am no longer a teenager. 20. For me, this is strange. I know, people say it's no big deal (mainly people over 20 are saying that), but for me it's strange. It's like, so many things happened in my life when I was a teenager, and now that I'm 20, my life is starting all over again.
Oh well, such is life. Have been having fun hanging out with the boys (they make me feel young as they are all 21-23yrs old) and have been working with guys (I am the only female in my building), so my life has had very little female input. Sometimes the guys at work forget that I am of the opposite sex and start telling me things I really don't want to hear. But, it is all in good fun.
Oh! One of my gay friends has a thing for one of my straight friends. I am finding this highly amusing. They both know each other's sexual preferences and respect that, but it is oh so funny.
My mother and I discovered today that my hair is now a different shade of red. Naturally. I think it's a bit darker... Strange. I think I like it.
How many times can I fit the word 'strange' into this entry? |

| An entry for Dejan... |
|
|
| 10:04pm 01/05/2006 |

I can't believe he's gone. It's so different from when my aunty died and also different to when my grandfather died. We didn't see Dejan much before left, so it just feels so unreal. It's as though he's just on a holiday, and yet I still miss him more than could be imagined. I'll hold myself together so well for so long, but then, once every couple of days, I'll sob uncontrollably for a few minutes, and then I'll go back to normal. He was buried with his ice skates, that was a nice touch. I adored him. He was so good to everyone and IT'S JUST NOT FAIR! I get so tense, and it's from holding it all in. I found a poem I wrote for Dejan on my other site, and then I saw the picture that I posted with it... It was a photo of Dejan that I took when he was 24, the last night we saw him before he went to skate with Disney in the U.S. for six months. I missed him so much in that time. I remember in year 10, (that was when he went away) one morning I was so excited because I had received an email from him, and I ran into my friend's homeroom before class started and told them how Dejan had emailed me, and she just looked at me and said, "Yeah, uh, I don't care." I cared though. So much.
The brightest light was laid to rest on Friday, the 28th of April 2006. It seems as though the world will never shine as brightly again. |

Dejan died yesterday morning. He was 29.
EDIT: Dejan had apalstic anaemia to begin with. It is apparently a type of cancer (I'm not good with diseases), developed into a form of leukemia. He went into remission for a few months. Then it was bone cancer - he had to go to Melbourne for a transplant that didn't have a huge success rate. His body rejected the procedure and shut down. He was pretty much in a coma for the last two weeks because he was on so many pain killers. He had been suffering for the past two and a half years.
Dejan was one of my skating coaches - the person that everyone turned to for a shoulder to cry on. He was so knowledgable for his years. He skated in the US with Disney on Ice, he was loved by most, respected by all. There was NOTHING that I wouldn't have done for him.
The message that I received at 4.15pm yesterday to tell me that he had passed away was devastating. He was the one who helped me through my Aunty's death, and now he's gone. |

Sophie's gone. Haven't seen her since Saturday. I put food out for her on Sunday morning. It hasn't been touched. She never leaves our property. My mother thinks she's gone somewhere to die. I don't want to believe it, but it's the most likely explanation.
My cat meant the world to me. I know most people think that it's dogs that have the connections with humans, but my cat knew me better than anyone. She knew when I was upset - those nights she would sleep curled up near my pillow rather than at the end of my bed where she usually slept. She would jump on my lap (she didn't usually like to be on people's laps), and she would only answer my call.
She knew she was boss in the house. Even the dog was scared of her. If Sophie was sitting near a doorway, Wizzard would sit back, sook, and paw at the floor, looking pathetically at me or my mother to let him past my baby.
I had a wonderful 13 years with her. I remember falling in love with her immediately at the animal shelter, she was 18months old when we bought her. When I was younger I'd lie on my stomach on the floor in the lounge room and Sophie would curl up on my back. We loved each other dearly, and I cant stand to think that I will never see her again. |

Okay, so you're all aware it's my birthday soon. Or you should be.
Here's the deal:
This will be my last birthday in Adelaide for a while (and I don't just mean for 365 days). Next year I will be celebrating my birthday in America (that's right - I am going to America for a year) and after that I do not plan to be in Adelaide much longer.
HENCE:
I expect all who care for me even the tiniest of bits to be at Fumo Blu (or however you spell it) on Friday night for my birthday. My last one here. For quite some time.
If you want, you're more than welcome to stay at my place after (as it is a cheap taxi fare) and then as a recovery (and another birthday celebration with my friends who are under the age of 18) we will go to BONYTHON PARK for a lunch time picnic.
So yes. Everyone who I still speak to, am still on good terms with and still have an ounce of respect for, I want you there.
Please let me know if you're coming.
Please tell me you'll be there. My last 4 birthdays have been disastrous to say the least. I want this one last Adelaidean one to be good - significant. I don't want excuses like "I have exams" you can still join me for an hour or two. If you don't want to be there, just say "I don't want to be there." and that will be that. |

Jaz is still in hospital and still hasn't had little Tyler yet. He's getting bigger which is good, he's now 5pounds, 3ounces. Saw Jaz Friday night and she had a contraction while I was there, but still nothing!!!
Saturday a friedn and her boyfriend came over so that he (my friend's boyfriend) could change the cd player from my old car into my new car, he also taught me how to open my bonet (duh!) and we put more water in it. They were so nice to drive all the way from Elizabeth to do that for me.
Then I was off to my grandma's to celebrate my birthday with the family. Aunty Lyn gave me so many tops, a skirt, gym pants, a dvd, it was insane! Aunty Kim gave me 3 cd's, plus she's paying 6months rego for my car - I was so grateful! My grandma gave me a dvd and said that when she gives me the card there will be something small to come with that as well. Then my cousin rocked up and she gave me a pair of really nice earrings.
I went to Emma's house after that, where we got suitably drunk before heading off to Shenannigans where I met up with Kate from Hamilton. It was so good to see her again! We kept drinking there before heading to Charltons for a bit where this guy bought me a drink (love the free drinks) and I got to know his sister who was really nice! Lol
Eventually Kate, Emma and I decided to go home, so Kate was nice enough to drop Emma and I off at Emma's. We fell asleep watching Dead Poets Society and I woke up after a couple of hours with a severe headache.
Was a good weekend though and I think I'm going to see Thirsty Merc by myself tonight! |

One of my long-term, dearest friends is having a baby. Or will be soon enough. Right now she is in the hospital and is just waiting for her labour to begin. By the time Tyler is born, he will be about 6 weeks premature. I adore him already. I have stated that I should be known fondly as 'Aunty Angie' and I shall pamper him like all good Aunties should.
I visited my dear friend in hospital tonight, saw her HUGE belly, and the baby sticking out in all different directions, he moved his head around, then I put my hand on my friend's belly and actually FELT his head move around. I am intrigued by this thing called 'birth'. I also heard little Tyler's heart beat and got so very clucky!!!
So, instead of my aim to be a doctor, I am going to be a midwife. That's right people, in Angie's dream world she will be living in Canada (or at least out of this hole that people refer to as Adelaide) and she will be a very successful midwife with a hunky (did I just write 'hunky'? Oh the shame) guy that I will be dating/married to and we will have at least one little baby of our own who will be a girl and her name will be Sharlie.
I am going to see my very pregnant friend in hospital again tomorrow night, so I won't be going to the gym and I won't be going with my mother to a certain festival (I got my aunty to fill in!), I have a photo of this very pregnant friend's stomach saved as the wallpaper on my phone!
Am so so so excited about this adventure that I am determined to help her go through! |

| Best weekend |
|
|
| 06:02pm 30/10/2005 |

So the weekend was awesome. No joke.
Had tea with mother and Aunty Lyn on friday night, then Lizi and Fleur came to rescue me and we went to the Bay where Fleur and I decided to have two RUSKIES each and be all illegal and drink them on the beach (almost), then policemen walked past and we were close to being busted, but Fleur noticed them in time. Was wonderful to be together with them again!
Saturday morning I went to Michelle's where we didn't walk (except across the road to Subway) but instead we talked for a few hours which was fun! Then I had FULL intentions of going to the gym, alas the carpark was full, so I went to my grandma's instead. This was when Mother dear told me that she had called this company that pick up old cars that don't work and pay you for it, so she's organised Boris to be collected and we get $50 for it. YAY!
Saturday night I went to a couple of halloween parties, the first of which was Sophie's where no one knew where it was and we walked up an insane number of hills in horribly uncomfortable shoes. Got there, it was strange. Awesome decorations and costumes, not a lot of people, and one person that was really odd to see... Then four people said they were coming with me to my cousin's party so long as I waited 15mins, so I waited and then they're like, oh no, maybe we shouldn't, oh i dont know, oh, is it rude to leave this early? Blah blah blah. So they didn't come with me.
Oody and I walked back to Tom's (found a really QUICK way to get there) and decided to do can-can kicks down one of the streets. Also met some drunk people who were really really lost. Then Oody said I was a whore. Hahaha, he dug himself into a hole and made me laugh while he kept digging.
Eventually I was able to drive us to his place so he could get changed and I could spend half an hour in the toilet trying to get my stockings back up!!! Anyway. Got Oody to the city then drove to Para Hills to my cousin's party.
I had never been to his house before and thought I would drive past his house. No chance of that happening. I could here the music, the lights were on and there were cars EVERYWHERE!!! I had to park so far away and I walked in and there were SO MANY PEOPLE!!! Luckily I spotted my cousin's girlfriend almost immediately and then we found my other cousin. It was pretty damn good, Adrian throws awesome parties and I am definately inviting myself next year as well.
This morning I went to the gym and saw Belinda there. Then I came home thinking Chloe was coming at 1ish. Okay, so she arrived at 12.30 just as I hopped out of the shower! I mis-read her message - she was coming at 12ish! My bad. So we went shopping and bought the prettiest ring. Love it!
Anyway, must be off, have to pick up mother dearest soon. |

Oh the joys of the past weekend. Here we go:
Friday night: Kirilea comes over and suggests we go for a drive. Thank god my car was almost full of petrol. We drove to Lizi's - no Liz. Off to woolies to get maltesers - we had to get two packets so we could eat one! Then to Daniel's where we saw him, told him to hurry up so we could follow him to Tom's, alas he took too long, so we left first and kinda nearly got lost. Found Tom's house and invited everyone to join us. Left there after a while and went to Coromandel Valley where I met a CANADIAN!!! WOOO! Kirilea- I have decided I love him. Alas, I have forgotten his name. I also nearly fell over while walking up Simon's stupid sludgy driveway, but it was worth it! We then went to pick up Woody, and he joined us on our journey to pick up a party pizza. Hell, he even had the nerve to join us in eating it! Hehehe. Not that we ate it all - it took up half of the back seat! Drove down the street that I will one day live on - Victoria Avenue. And Woody showed us the house that he half-architectured the backyard. Then we were tired and we went home.
Saturday: Went to Michelle's house as we had agreed to go for a mighty long walk. She lives near Marion shopping centre. We walked from there, to my grandma's house, who lives near me. Left Michelle's at 1pm, got to my grandma's at 3.15pm. Stayed at my grandma's for a bit, then my mum drove us back to Michelle's so I could pick up my car. Wasn't going to go to Tom's because I was SO tired, but they talked me into it, so I was only going to stay a couple of hours. Three hours later, Tom talked me into staying the night and drinking, so I did. It was an awesome night, you guys are so much fun!
Sunday: Woke up at 7am and left because I was so uncomfortable. As I was driving down the street, I saw this guy that used to work at Ramelec with me! Got home, slept for about 3 hrs before taking Bec to lunch. Then Kirilea and I went for a drive to see if our pizza was still there (it wasn't), so we went and got more!!! Got home at 6 to find Bianca already there (whoops), got ready and went to see SIMPLE PLAN WHO FUCKING ROCK!!!! Seriously, they were AWESOME! And I loved the bands on before them as well. *runs off to buy both Simple Plan cds and the cds of Kiss Chasey and All Americal Rejects*
All in all, it was the BEST WEEKEND!!!
*The End*
PS. If you didn't get my message, Friday night pizza at my place at 6ish with pre-Vic drinks, then I'm driving to the Vic, so if people put in petrol $$$ I can make more than one trip depending on how many people are there. And Saturday night - party at my place from like 8ish (I can't remember what time I originally said, so just rock up whenever), you're all invited to stay the night as I'll have the house to myself anyway. |

Well. This entry is by both myself and Bianca.
How awesome was most of last night?
Here are some highlights:
*Free drinks from barman *Being the only two that danced at Kirilea's house! *Ryan falling over the gutter *Singing at the top of our voices on the bus (and then being told by the bus driver that he'll miss our entertainment) *Embarassing half the group by singing in the line at the London Tav *Calling Ritchie and singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Hakuna Mattata *Dirty dancing in a line of 5 or 6 *(Angie's favourite) Seeing Greg again (mind you, I was DITCHED at the Tav because some IDIOTS told everyone I'd LEFT!!!) *Bianca's foot getting stepped on, me telling the guy to buy her a drink, he comes back with drink to find her dancing with Kai, tells her, "This drink WAS for you, but I might hang on to it!", Bianca slapping Kai because he cost her a drink, Greg buying her a double vodka, lemon lime! *Not throwing up - considering how very much we drank *Seeing everyone!!! *Hearing some guy call out (kinda to me) as we're walking down North Terrace "She's so drunk she won't even see it's me!" Then finding out he's a friend of mine who I practically had to walk into before I saw him!!! *Getting home just as the sun rose. *Seeing Bianca's cousin who was extremely paraletic *Making our usual stop at a fast food joint, stuffing our faces with the greasiest of the greasy!
Sure there's more but the headache is taking over now. Good night all.

EDIT: Apparently Lawrence phoned me last night at about 12.30. Does anyone remember me being on the phone at this time? Because I have no recollection of the call... I was possibly more drunk than I thought I was... So if anyone else knows of anything I did/said that I may not remember, please post a comment! Same goes for Bianca!

Reply with your name and I will write something random about you. 2. I will then tell you a song that reminds me of you. 3. I will pick a flavour of jello to wrestle in with you. 4. I will say something that only makes sense to you and I, if I can. 5. I will tell you my first memory of you. 6. I will tell you what color you remind me of. 7. I will then ask you something that I've wondered about you. 8. If I do this for you, you must post this on your lj. |

Okay,
So I went to timewarp Wednesday night and I went to Shenannigans last night. Both were really good nights even though I didn't drink at all and two people at work today told me I looked extremely tired, but that's ok! Now I have to go out tonight, but no one will come with me!!! And stupid Kirilea (that's right Kif, I called you stupid! Hehehe) is in bed so she's being boringly unsociable. No fun!!!
B's in the city and will be crashing at mine and I want to meet her out there! Alas, who should I go with??? Hmm. Oh well, I'll find someone!
In other news... I'm going to look at a car tomorrow (Corolla), and I was learning car lingo at work today. Don't roll your eyes at me people, but I found out what a V8 was. I also found out that SAAB used to make V4's. Don't know if they still do - if anyone knows, can you please enlighten me???
I'm going to Queensland in December. The 7th - 11th. Anyone interested in coming? I think Bianca might be coming with me as well.
Going to Lizi's tomorrow - so I'll see you guys there!!!
Ciao ya. |

That's right people,
No more waiting - Angie is finally back online. I can't really write now as I'm about to go to my grandma's for tea with Geli, Bianca, my mum and my grandma.
Firstly - quick news:
1. I don't have a car at the moment - it broke down. 2. Luke and I were going out for about 6 weeks before we broke up in a very friendly manner. 3. I still work at Ramelec and love it. 4. I will be leaving the country next year. 5. I need netballers for Wednesday night mixed netball - let me know ASAP so I can register our team!!!
See you soon!
Oh - anyone want to come to the city friday night??
Cheers, Ang. |
